If you are a company that trades internationally, whether as an importer or an exporter, then you will invest a substantial amount of money and time in the movement of product/cargo through the supply chain. Having worked in Global Logistics for 25 years, I offer Consultancy and Training to those companies who are looking to make improvements and consequently cost savings to their supply chain.
I offer an Incoterms® 2010 course that I deliver within your office, at a fixed fee, so you can fill the room with as many people as it will comfortably hold. This course lasts for 2 hours and will enable those professionals involved in the supply chain within your company, to make informed decisions about how they negotiate and choose the most appropriate Incoterms® 2010 rule for your business. Understanding Incoterms® rules will ensure your business knows what responsibilities, costs and risks you are agreeing to when negotiating with a seller or a buyer involved in transporting products globally. As there are many different silos within each business, the Incoterms® 2010 course will help your Sales Team negotiate the Sales Contract with a better understanding of what they are expecting the Logistics/Shipping Department to implement.
The information gained in the Incoterms® 2010 training class will enable you to question your current logistics processes, do they suit your needs as they stand in today’s economic climate or are you still working with processes that were implemented 20 years ago? This is where I offer my Consultancy services. I can work within your business as your Global Logistics Consultant, where I will look at your current processes and using my Industry knowledge of International Market Freight Rates, Customs Procedures, Cargo Marine Insurance, Limits of Liability etc, I can work with you to choose the best freight forwarder for your business. I can also help to find the most cost effective methods of transport, set up relevant SOP’s to ensure the changes and improvements made are communicated efficiently and clearly within your business, with your suppliers, your customers and your chosen Logistics Provider. My consultancy services can be long term, with me in your office once a week, or short term, with me in every day until the job is done to your satisfaction.
I am currently delivering Incoterms® 2010 training and working as a consultant so I am happy to provide a reference or testimonial to the standard of my work. I can be contacted directly to discuss any specific requirements in more detail, my mobile number is 07917 301598.
I started working in the freight industry 25 years ago and have worked in Operations, Sales, Global Business Processes, Quality Management and Training. A good deal of my time was spent visiting large multinational companies and helping them make improvements within their supply chain, whether that was Order Management, Distribution Centres being re-located, or just looking at whether they were importing their goods into the UK using the correct duty rates. I have implemented global business changes on huge projects, dealing with director level decision makers then working closely with the staff on the factory floor to implement changes and communicate them to ensure a smooth transition. My expertise in understanding global logistics covers a variety of Industries, from Manufacturers, Retailers, Oil and Gas, Pharma and a number of others.
