I specialise in protecting employers from their own employees.
With nearly 30 years experience of working in large unionised environments I cut my 'HR Teeth' dealing with some very contentious and complex employment issues. I use that high level of practical HR skill to support my clients to achieve their business goals whilst navigating their way through the 91 employment rights that each of their employees has.

As an MCIPD and MBA qualified HR consultant running my own HR consultancy based in Rossendale I pride myself on providing practical HR expertise for small and medium sized employers in the north west of England.

I understand how hard it is to keep up with the constant changes in employment law, how easy it is for employers to feel that they can't do or say anything in a meeting with an employee without it coming back to haunt them and how easy the 'no win no fee' culture can make it for disgruntled employees to make life difficult for employers.

Most senior HR professional advising Board of Trustees on HR matters. Interests and Hobbies

I'm married with two grown up children and two Border Terriers which don't get on and need walking separately, so I walk a lot! Before I set up my own business I had interests and occasionally took one of those things called a holiday - I hope to do so again because I enjoy travelling to warm places (I don't like the cold). I enjoy reading, gardening and go to the gym regularly when my gammy knee and dodgy back allow.
