Summary
My role is to identify and foster relationships between small and medium sized companies and the University. I match organisational needs with expert researchers in the appropriate area who will work with the organisation to develop innovative solutions to help the organisation grow. I assist external organisations in the various stages of a project enquiry, from sign posting appropriate business support, applying for funding which promote academic-industrial interaction such as Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs) to project planning and evaluation.
Expertise
I have 20 years experience working with external funding predominantly European Funding and SME engagement within Higher Education working at UCLAN, MMU and North West Regional Assembly. I have also held positions in the private sector as Company Secretary and Finance Director and my ultimate goal is to help facilitate business growth within SME’s through the development and application of new knowledge.
