I have a very logical mind and can analyse large quantities of data using spreadsheets. I am an expert user of Excel and have a portfolio of spreadsheets that can be tailored to any clients requirements. I am also capable of offering bespoke Excel training to clients, on their own data on a 1:1 or 1:2 basis. More generally I can offer a full management accounting service from Trial Balance to Profit and Loss. I can also offer a financial accounting service by controlling the balance sheet, producing budgets and regular cash forecasts. I also have experience of completing the FSA RMARs for insurance brokers and financial advisors.

- CurrentFirstly worked for a East Lancashire, family owned firm of brokers. Started working days before the FSA started regulating General Insurance. I had to develop the method of reporting the RMAR by interpreting complex regulations, not written in plain English. I was highly involved in everything that was not directly operational. I was responsible for IT, HR, fleet management and anything else! During my time there I also developed a system that could take the TB from the accounts system and virtually automatically create a full P&L as well as automatically drawing data from the budget spreadsheet. Biggest single achievement was trebling the bank interest receipts through good cash forecasting and negotiations with the banks.

Interests and Hobbies
The company name may give it away, but I am a massive fan of F1 and any motor sport. Have been to a few F1 races as well as an Indy Car race and NASCAR too. I have a really good sense of humour and enjoy meals out and socialising. A lot of time is taken up with my family (wife and 9 year old son).
