Web Development Manager
- CurrentIn March 1999 until March 2000 I worked as Web Development Manager at the University of Manchester & UMIST Careers Service, responsible for their (at the time) five web sites and Intranet. All the interactive elements of their sites were programmed by me. These included such things as searches, internal staff administration systems, customisable parts of the sites eg My Netwise, online sign-up for employer presentations, and a news e-mailing system (vacancies by e-mail).

2000 - 2000I attended UMIST from 1994-1997, gaining an upper second class (2.i) honours degree in Computation (Computer Science).

I founded CUS (Computer Users Society) of UMIST.
Interests and Hobbies
I am married and the mother of two young children, a daughter born in 2005 and a son born in 2008.
As a hobby I design greeting cards and sell them on my online shop at http://www.flamingimp.com
When I'm not looking after my children I'm mostly working! However, I like reading Terry Pratchett books and science fiction, my favourites being Isaac Asimov and Alastair Reynolds. Programmes I like on TV include Fringe, House, Bones and Dollhouse. I also enjoy painting.
