Summary
We believe there has got to be a better way to resolving disputes at work than protracted legal proceedings. Our two main mediators have over 60 years experience of resolving conflict at work.
We are fully insured with professional indemnity and public liability insurance.
Assist Mediation follows the European Code of Conduct for Mediators.
Our philosophy:
Firstly, our aim is to keep things simple. To this end, we only do one thing – resolve conflict at work.
We keep everything as simple as possible:
- we use simple, easy to understand language
- we have simple, easy to understand processes
- we write simple, easy to understand agreements
Secondly, everything we do is about trust. The entire mediation process is private and confidential and all parties must agree to this.
Trust is often the first casualty of conflict at work. Our mission is to find a solution to conflict and at the same time to re-build trust. The aim of workplace mediation is to facilitate an outcome that:
- is agreed by both parties
- is focused on solving the problem/conflict
- looks to the future (and not back at who is right or wrong)
- ends with a written settlement
As an alternative form of dispute resolution, workplace mediation avoids the time and cost (both monetary and emotional) of formal procedures such as employment tribunals.
The process is voluntary and requires both parties to sign up to an agreed way of working.
The whole process is private and without prejudice (the mediation agreement signed by both parties prohibits the disclosure of mediated discussions in any future proceedings).
We specialise in helping resolve conflict at work via workplace mediation, conflict resolution and effective investigations.
We are fully insured with professional indemnity and public liability insurance.
