Someone with a degree is no more likely to be a top performer than is someone with no qualifications at all.

As Zig Ziglar said many years ago, “Attitude, not Aptitude, determines Altitude.”

Indeed analysis shows that people with the highest IQs are outperformed 70% of the time by those with average IQs.

This riddle was eventually resolved in 1990 when Salovey and Mayer introduced the concept of “Emotional Intelligence” (EQ).

Since then, over 30 years research has confirmed that EQ is the critical factor that sets winning performers apart from the ‘also rans’.

The connection is so strong that 90% of top performers have a high EQ.

However, despite the significance of EQ, its intangible nature makes it very difficult to know how much you have and what you can do to improve it.

If you would like to get a handle on your EQ just send an e-mail to messages@proteusconsultancy.com and we'll get back to you.
