Attitude versus qualifications.

Attitude versus qualifications.

It's attitude and not alphabet spaghetti after your name that counts in job interviews! This sentiment was echoed by John Cridland - a former director general of the Confederation of British Industry.

Several years ago he famously said that members "must consider character-building elements of a candidate's CV, rather than just qualifications."

He added that most bosses "do not recruit on subject or qualification" but look for "enthusiasm, creativity and passion."

I couldn't have put it better myself. As we often say to our clients, "Aptitudes are important but it's your attitudes that make the difference!"
