Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg is quoted on FT.com: “This deal breaks new ground, giving Manchester the freedom to be truly revolutionary – ‘earning back’ tax for the growth it creates.” referring to tax incentives being offered to the region's businesses in the UK's second 'city deal'. The questions is: how will this growth be created? Organisations with the potential to grow and financial incentives being favourable, need a solid growth strategy encompassing organisational development, personal development (for owners and staff) a sales plan and marketing strategy. Those that put these plans in place now will reap the benefits when the financial benefits are delivered later.
