Olive Strachan, Founder and CEO of OSR Ltd has become the Vice Chair of the Manchester Branch of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD). CIPD is Europe's largest Human Resources and development professional body. As an internationally recognised brand with over 135,000 members across 120 countries, they pride themselves on supporting and developing those responsible for the management and development of people within organisations. Elected to the voluntary position, Olive, who has been a member of the CIPD since 1995, takes over from Dr Dave Redfern. She brings with her experience built up during an impressive career in the recruitment industry for Reed, Blue Arrow, Adecco plus Regional Manager for the Award Winning training company Video Arts. This has enabled her to build strong relationships with many Blue chip organisations within the northwest and internationally. Olive has also built a formidable reputation as an outstanding trainer. As the Northwest Development Agency Vice Chair for the Ethnic Minority Business Forum she has gained excellent board experience.
