Complacency: the job seekers’ nightmare.

“Complacency” is a self-defeating attitude that entices the job seeker into a false sense of security, thinking everything will turn out okay.

We call it the job seekers’ nightmare, and we come across sufferers of it nearly every day.

Well, ‘yes’, it’s good to be relentlessly positive - everything will turn out okay- but you also need to back that up with relentless activity.

Just because you have an interview coming up at the end of next week, don’t stop your activity!

Here’s the dictionary definition that will give you food for thought. Complacency: [kuhm-pley-suhn-see]: a feeling of quiet pleasure or security, often while unaware of some potential danger, defect, or the like; self-satisfaction or smug satisfaction with an existing situation or condition.

If you are in job search mode, avoid complacency like the plague! #proteuscareermanagement #attitude #jobseeker #careeradvice #jobsearch #jobsearchadvice
