Summary

Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy involves the induction of a trance-like condition, but when in it, the client is actually in an enhanced state of awareness, concentrating entirely on the hypnotherapist’s voice. In this state, the conscious mind is suppressed and the subconscious mind is revealed. The therapist is able to suggest ideas, concepts and lifestyle adaptations to the client, the seeds of which become firmly planted. With the clients intent, beliefs can be changed, and new ways of thinking can be uploaded and implemented.

The practice of promoting healing or positive development in any way is known as hypnotherapy. Hypnotherapy aims to re-programme patterns of behaviour within the mind, enabling irrational fears, phobias, negative thoughts and suppressed emotions to be overcome. When the client is in the relaxed trance-like state of hypnosis, breathing becomes slower and deeper, the pulse rate drops and the metabolic rate falls. Similar changes along nervous pathways and hormonal channels enable the sensation of pain to become less acute, and the awareness of unpleasant symptoms, such as nausea or indigestion, to be alleviated.

In Hypnosis the subconscious mind is more alert and susceptible to new powerful suggestions, hence being able to change beliefs. The Subconscious Mind is accessed through achieving an altered state which can happen naturally or be accessed through meditation and hypnosis. These new suggestions are uploaded directly to your Subconscious Mind.

Hypnosis is a tool not a therapy, and as such can be used to treat any human condition as long as a person’s attitude is a factor. Hypnosis can be used to achieve and facilitate desired outcomes in many areas of life, such as medical, dental, forensic, education, sports and psychotherapy.

What is hypnosis?
Hypnosis happens naturally whenever a person is inclined to accept outside suggestions. Hypnosis makes memories more real and ideas clearer. It can act to help you heal more rapidly, be more creative, and change for the better.

How does hypnosis work?
Hypnosis happens automatically anytime a person becomes deeply relaxed or highly focused. It happens when a person daydreams, while driving, reading a book, or watching a movie. Through the use of carefully worded suggestions, a professional hypnotherapist can prompt and fine tune hypnosis in clients and help them to make changes.

What does hypnosis feel like?
Most hypnosis subjects describe it as extremely pleasant and deeply relaxing, giving them a feeling of well being. The most common feelings reported include: deep relaxation, a tingly feeling, a feeling of heaviness or sensation of floating, a desire to swallow more, slight body twitches, eye fluttering, and a change in breathing pattern. Generally speaking, clients hear and remember most of what is said during the session. They are very aware of their own body and breathing, as well as the temperature of and sound in the room. Most people are actually more (not less) aware of what is going on when they are hypnotised. A very small number of people go so deeply into hypnosis that they have no memory of the session at all, but most hear and remember what went on.

Is a deep state of hypnosis necessary for the hypnosis to work?
Absolutely not! In most cases, a light state is just as effective as a deep state. In changing attitudes and behaviour, a light state of hypnosis can actually work better because the client is more certain to remember the suggestion given.

Common fallacies of hypnosis
Contrary to popular belief, you are not asleep or unconscious when hypnotised. Clients do not lose control during the sessions and can freely choose to disregard any suggestions the hypnotherapist makes. Hypnosis makes a person more inclined to do the things they want to do, but not things that go against their own belief systems, morals and values.

What can hypnosis be used for?
Hypnosis can be used for virtually anything. The most common uses of hypnosis include;

• Stress reduction and sound sleep
• Smoking cessation
• Weight loss
• Traumas and phobias
• Exam anxiety and success
• Memory and learning skills
• Health improvement
• IBS
• Pain
• Pregnancy and childbirth
• Athletic enhancement - e.g. Improve your golf
• Sexual healing/enhancement
• Public speaking and presentations
• Creativity and personal power
• Self confidence
• Passing your driving test
• Sales motivation
• Creative writing
• Regression work

And many more, please feel free to enquire.

Does hypnosis really work?
Yes, and it is one of the most pleasant and natural therapies available! It puts you in charge of your own mind and your outcomes!

Can anyone become hypnotised?
Yes, anyone who wants to be hypnotised, can be. It is a very natural reaction.

Past Life Regression

Within each of us there appears to reside the events of past lives. A migraine, chronic lower back pain or a knee problem may be telling a story from an old accident or wound. A chronic sore throat may derive from strangling, hanging or choking. As the soul returns to life over and over these traumatic memories are re-created in our current life often making little sense, and keeping us from living peaceful lives. They are brought to our conscious awareness by anxiety, panic attacks, anger, depression, phobias, obsessions, nightmares and unexplainable physical pain. Regression can be the key to unlocking so many mysteries about our selves, whilst taking a wonderful journey at the same time.

Past Life Regression allows us to see beyond the confusion and illusions of this life and brings about a healing of the past life that resonates into our present life. A Past Life Experience is the physical act of taking a client back to revisit their past lives through the use of hypnotherapy. In a Past Life Experience, the spirit realms are experienced in the “eternal now”. This is an altered state of awareness where the client finds it easy to communicate intuitively with the souls of other past life characters and their spirit guide.

Past Life Regression is the key to unlocking our oldest memories. Have you ever wondered if you've lived before? Perhaps you've experienced strong feelings of knowing someone you've only just met, Maybe you have felt a strong connection to a place you've never been to or even arrived somewhere for the first time and instinctively felt as though you'd been there before although you knew you hadn't... not in this lifetime anyway. Through Past Life Regression you can discover the answers along with so much more.

Regression Therapy
Regression Therapy involves going back to earlier lifetimes normally via hypnosis to retrieve memories, patterns and events that may still negatively influence our lives today. Regression Therapy explores the psychological, physical and spiritual unresolved residues from our present and past lives. It is a comprehensive method for transforming them in a way that is both safe and structured. Regression works with the content of past experiences and extends the time line to allow past life stories to emerge. A client is guided back and encouraged to relive and resolve the conflicts from the past that have previously been inaccessible to the consciousness. Often they are past lives that are still influencing and distorting a client’s mental and emotional stability.

Regression Therapy covers past lives and includes current life memories some of which may be below the level of our conscious awareness. It enables the conflicts from the past that have been distorting our mental, emotional and physical well-being to be resolved. An example from the current life may be a phobia such as Post Traumatic Stress stemmed from a childhood trauma or a life threatening situation. The symptoms may include panic attacks, emotional outbursts, blocked feelings, self harm, numbness, unexplainable physical pain or recurring relationship problems. The therapy works by going to the root of the problem and includes body therapy to transform it in a way that is both safe and structured. Regression therapy reaches further than most other therapeutic approaches as it heals deeper at the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual levels.

With PLR you can move through and heal the root cause of a present situation, resolve and understand karmic patterns, complete old unfinished business, understand current relationships, lift old restrictions and blocks to healing, and gain a spiritual perspective of your life situation. You can go back to previous lifetimes for the purpose of understanding and learning, pure curiosity or even to discover talents, values, feelings and gifts you possessed in other lives. It can be a transformative and insightful process for anyone.

People generally have four basic reasons for seeking Past Life Regression:

Therapy – The possibility of resolving current issues that have their origins in past lives. The challenges we are dealing with today very often originated way back and have never been resolved. PLR is the fastest and most effective way to get to the root of these issues.

Curiosity - Experience PLR just for the fun of it. Perhaps you wonder if you've ever lived before? That was the reason for my first PLR session!

Relationships - Have you ever felt an incredible connection with a person you’ve just met? This could be your recognition of a significant person from your past lives.

Spiritual Growth – Learning from the past can accelerate our own growth and help in the discovery of our own path or purpose, our soul journey.
