I'm a journalist and graphic designer with more than 30 years experience (has it really been that long?) in the design and media industry.
I've worked in newspapers throughout my career, taking on various roles as a reporter, sub-editor and designer on local, regional and national newspapers, which has given me a broad range of skills.
Around 10 years ago I set up my own business as a graphic designer while continuing to freelance as a sub-editor and page designer on newspapers like the Sunday Express and Daily Star.
On the design side, over the last decade I've built up a wide-ranging clientele from across the UK, including Blackpool and the Fylde College and Blackpool Council; recent clients have come from diverse fields such as finance and wealth management; vehicle accident repair management; and hotel and catering.
Many people in business struggle to find the right words to get their message across: my background means that as well as offering unique designs for your marketing, I can also write the content, the headlines or straplines; or simply proof-read or rewrite a client's efforts.
I like to work closely with clients to make sure they're happy with the final product. Most of my work comes from word of mouth, so I must be doing something right!

Design for print: business cards and stationery, advertisements, leaflets and brochures, newsletters, magazines, newspapers, pop-up banners and exhibition stands.
Copywriting: Writing press releases; content for websites; marketing literature; company newsletters or magazines.
I can also offer interactive workshops in writing press releases and media awareness.
The only thing I don't do is build websites; I'm not too proud to admit there are plenty of web developers out there who are far better at it than me!

Interests and Hobbies
