I am an MRICS qualified chartered buiding surveyor with over 20 years experience of working in the private sector. I currently work for Gerald Eve LLP at Associate level within their Manchester office, they are a multi-displinary property consultancy company with offices throughout the UK.
Expertise include:-
•undertaking due diligence building surveys;
•preparing terminal schedules of dilapidations, and negotiating dilapidations (when there is a legal liability for a property's state of disrepair);
•preparing scheme designs with costings, programmes for completion of projects and specification of works;
•determining the condition of existing buildings, identifying and analysing defects, including proposals for repair;
•advising on the preservation/conservation of historic buildings;
•advising on the management and supervision of maintenance of buildings;
•dealing with planning applications and advising on property legislation and building regulations;
•assessing and buildings and/or designs to meet the needs of people with disabilities;
•advising on construction design and management (CDM) regulations;
•carrying out feasibility studies;
•advising on boundary and party wall procedures;
•preparing insurance assessments and claims.
