*An independent specialist medical opinion on illness that may be related to work, e.g. asthma, hand-arm vibration syndrome, dermatitis etc.
*Pre-employment / pre-placement health assessments to ensure that the job and health of the applicant are closely matched.
*Health surveillance as required by *Health and Safety legislation such as breathing tests for users of isocyanates, radiation workers, asbestos workers etc.
*Advice on Management of Health and Safety at Work, Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH), Noise at Work, Manual Handling, Display Screen Equipment Regulations and the Disability Discrimination Act.
*Advice on sickness absence control
*Advice on safety, accident reduction and manual handling.
*Certificated first aid training to include resuscitation techniques.
*Counselling, including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), for work related issues.
*Audiometry as part of a hearing conservation programme.
*Vaccination for certain hazardous occupations and work-related overseas travel.
*Workplace visits to identify potential hazards to health and advice on risk assessments.
*Medical assessments of LGV, PCV, fork-lift truck and crane drivers.
*Executive medical screening to include: Previous medical history, height, weight, BMI, urinalyisis, lung functions testing, audiometry, vision screening, electro-cardiogram (ECG), full blood count, liver function tests, PSA testing (Prostate) plus a head to toe examination by the doctor lasting 45 minutes.
