Summary
More than 16 years working in environmental consultancy delivering and managing technical survey and assessments for a broad range of development sectors, including commercial, residential, retail, transportation (roads, rail, airports), power generation (including renewables), utilities and waste, as well as workplace noise and HAVS exposure studies.
I am currently an acoustics team leader providing technical support to Bureau Veritas' 16-strong team, as well being project manager for noise and vibration monitoring and support for several Crossrail station developments.
At Amec, I was noise and vibration technical lead for EDF Energy's Development Consent Order application for a new build nuclear power station and associated developments.
I began my career specialising in industrial air quality, developing a considerable background and understanding in industrial processes and their interface with the human and natural environment. I expanded my expertise into occupational workplace exposure surveys, odour impact assessment and ambient air quality studies, and subsequently developed a specialism in the field of environmental noise and vibration.
Throughout, my experience on large-scale developments, such as airport runway extensions, major regeneration schemes and energy infrastructure projects, has given me a excellent understanding of the Environmental Impact Assessment and environmental planning process. This has carried forward into full-scope environmental auditing of development construction works and industrial operations.
For the last 10 years, I have managed small teams providing both air quality and noise and vibration consultancy services.
Specialties: Environmental noise and vibration, odour impact assessment, industrial air quality and emissions to atmosphere, occupational exposure surveys, environmental compliance and due diligence auditing, Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and Environmental Management Plans.
