Seven Reasons Your Business Still Needs A Website

Some business owners feel that a website is a luxury item and that merely having a Facebook page is enough of an online presence. They may feel that a sign and business cards will generate business. In truth, the only way to promote a complete picture of your business is by having a professional website.

A website acts as a portal so that customers can learn more about your business, research services/products and determine if they want to do business with you. It isn’t a luxury - it’s a fundamental tool that your business can’t do without. Here are seven reasons why you should be thinking seriously about it:

  1. It creates the right impression.

When your business’s details are circulated, the first thing people do is look for your website. If you don’t have one, they’ll stop there - that’s lost revenue.

  1. Anchor for all your marketing.

All your business and product/services details should be on your website. All other advertising and marketing should drive customers to your website.

  1. Sells your product/services.

It’s the most cost effective way to showcase the full picture of who you are and what you are capable of. Up to date, real time information without the cost of new print material.

  1. Connects with new customers.

The first place people turn to when looking for something new is the Internet. Even if you have a loyal customer base, ensure your business is ready to be found by new customers.

  1. Big benefits for local businesses.

A misconception amongst the die-hards is that websites are for businesses looking for national or international business. In fact, they can be more beneficial to local business. Search for “Architects near me” and the results will be based on your location.

  1. Builds Credibility.

Now more than ever, having a website is one of the basic trust validators people consider before making contact with a business. Even if you’ve been recommended, if customers can’t find your website they will look somewhere else.

  1. Value

Pound for pound there is no better way to promote your business. Imagine the cost of printing glossy brochures that look as good as your website. Once they’re gone, you’ll need more – a website has unlimited reach and is there 24/7.
