I came across this information while doing some research. It's taken from Hansard on 9 November 2010. The information, as the qualification below makes clear, should not be taken as gospel but from my own experience it's not too far off. What this information does not mention are the many man hours that are needed to prepare for a tribunal. Those are the hours spent by your legal representative exploring the facts and the relevant law; the hours spent by each potential witness as they try to recollect incidents from the recent past and if necessary put them down in a witness statement and the hours spent trawling though documents to decide what is relevant to the case to be addressed. "The following table gives the overall average time taken, in minutes, for a hearing at an employment tribunal, and a jurisdictional average. This information is management information and is used for internal purposes only; it has not been validated and relies on manual data input."
