Why as a business you should consider becoming carbon neutral

Why as a business you should consider becoming…

Having been around since 1972 as a business we feel we have more than contributed in the production of carbon over the years and decided to do something about it as we felt we had a social responsibility. It was by going through this process that we began to see the commercial benefits of carbon reduction as well as the social ones. By reducing our carbon footprint we have seen a significant drop in our energy bills through the implementation of solar panels (at the original 43p FIT rate), LED lighting (a reduction of 22000 kW), structural insulation and looking at hybrid company vehicles (saving both fuel and tax). Whilst the financial benefits are clearly an incentive to us, we have found as a marketing business it gives us an edge over non-carbon neutral competitors. The reason is simple, there are many potential corporate clients out there that have stringent CSR policies in place who favour suppliers with similar ethics and in some instances will not even enter into a dialogue if you do not fulfill their CSR requirements.

For us it is a win win situation not only fulfilling our social obligations and reducing our annual bills, but also opening doors that previously would have been closed to us.

We are now in a position to preach what we practice and help advise other business on the benefits of implementing a sustainable carbon reduction strategy.. we would love to talk to you.
