AWARD FOR CARING MUM AND BUSINESSWOMAN Credit Claims Ltd Operations Director Michelle Barrett has been awarded a Forward Ladies Women in Business Award . Michelle from Bolton has been recognised for her inspirational and pivotal role during the company's success and growth over the past 12 months. Awarded the prize for the Home Based Category; Michelle has proved that it is possible to pair a thriving business life with a busy personal one. This award is all the more remarkable and poignant due to the personal loss that Michelle has suffered in the past 18 months. In May 2011, her sister Lesley Ann lost her life suddenly from a blood clot. As a single mother, Lesley Ann left behind her three young boys. The three boys were subsequently placed under the guardianship of Michelle and her sister Anita. Michelle re-doubled her efforts to continue the successes that Credit Claims was enjoying by working from home. This has allowed her and Anita to care for her three nephews as well as her own two young sons. Michelle explained how much this award means to her:"For me it shows that as a working mum - if you have that work/life balance it is achievable to spend quality time with your family whilst being able to run a successful business. Home Based working for me is an absolute necessity otherwise I wouldn't be able to do what I do". This move has proved incredibly beneficial to both her personal and professional life. Credit Claims has helped its customers reclaims millions of pounds for mis sold ppi, mis sold mortgages, mis sold investments and interest rate swaps. The company has enjoyed an output increase of almost 100% in 2012. Michelle's dedication and determination has helped Credit Claims reclaim over £8m in ppi compensation since the inception of the company in 2008. Michelle revealed how proud she was of the company: "For the business it is a huge compliment as customer service is at the forefront of our minds every day and being able to work and manage from home, ensures that our highest standards are always maintained by staff whether I am in the office or not". The Forward Ladies Women in Business Awards help recognise business women from Yorkshire, the North West, Isle of Man and The Humber. Held annually, the award ceremony has recognised and celebrated some of the region's most impressive and important business women.
