The BBC is reporting that http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-20118960 the Euromillions French website has been defaced by malicious attackers. These sort of attacks affect businesses of all sizes and can be debilitating if you rely on your website for business generation or for taking payments. Regular vulnerability management process can help minimise the success of these attacks but more importantly can help prevent the loss of critical data that could lead to a fine from the Information Commissioner or card brands like Visa/Mastercard if card data is stolen.
