It’s possible that either you or a colleague has been asked to arrange a client event or organise some corporate hospitality. It’s quite common for a CEO to nominate an individual to organise the annual client event or to book some places at the cricket or tennis just “Like we always do”. Oh, not the same again, and hardly any of our clients even like cricket or tennis, you may say. The biggest challenge in the planning process is to understand your client’s interests, and to organise such an event that you actually achieve the optimum participation of your invitation “Wish list”. How many businesses must have invested into an expensive event, only to find that their preferred invitee has an unforeseen obligation requiring them to offer an apology and then pass the invitation down to an un-influential junior colleague? It’s massively important that the right questions are asked early in the planning stages and that realistic commercial goals are set. We at Urban Fabric Events work on a Seven Point strategy in order to find the most suitable venue, activity and concept in order to optimise your “wish list” and above all deliver an enjoyable, memorable but commercially viable return on your investment. Our simple philosophy embraces the following SEVEN points: 1. Know your clients and what their interests are 2. Who do you ideally want to accept your invitation and be there 3. What event goals do you have and how will they be measured 4. What would be the perfect venue and atmosphere for a successful event 5. Which date period would allow you to optimise your invitation “Wish List” 6. How will the event link with and support your overall business strategy 7. How will the event improve your relationship with your clients www.urbanfabricevents.com
