A recent charge in Manchester under the FSO ( fire safety order ) just cost a company £6000.00 in fines and £3256.78 in costs for breaches of the fire safety order, the charges are, 1 No fire risk assessment, 2 large amounts of combustables were stored on exit routes, 3 a fire exit had been bricked up and 4 Fire extinguishers had not been serviced for some considerable time.
