Corporate Social Responsibility - Our Contribution
Visitor Chat is pleased to complete its donations to causes for year 2022. The company has allocated funding to the Lakeside Sustainability Project at Lakeside North Harbour. An ecological and wildlife habitat survey was conducted on site by the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust. A recommendation was made to install a mix of nesting box types including standard boxes for Blue Tits and Great Tits, open fronted boxes for Robins and Wrens, Starling boxes to be used by Starlings, Woodpeckers and Nuthatches, and Sparrow Terraces.
Visitor Chat’s funding provides for:
- Site clearance
- Installation of 20 bird boxes and 10 insect hotels
- A bird viewing station with seating
- Feeding platforms
- Two nest box cameras and Bird identification signage
The work is due for completion in March 2023
In addition to funding the Lakeside Project, Visitor Chat has completed a direct donation to the RSPB
