• WHAT'S THE RUSH?

I was reminded of this story today when I was talking to a friend.
    .
I am convinced that we always hear these stories at the right time and for a particular reason, so maybe today was my day to share this story.....
    .
When you plant a seed of the Chinese Bamboo tree, you must nurture it, water it, tend the soil and allow the sun to warm the soil.
    .
After 1 year you will see nothing.....
    .
    WOULD YOU PERSEVERE?
    .
For another year you must continue to nurture and water your bamboo.
    .
After year 2 you will STILL see nothing......
    .
WOULD YOU CONTINUE TO BE PATIENT?
    .
For another year you must continue to nurture and water your bamboo.
    .
After year 3 you will STILL see nothing......
    .
HOW IS YOUR FAITH HOLDING UP NOW?
    .
For another year you must continue to nurture and water your bamboo.
    .
After year 4 you will STILL see nothing......
    .
    HOW ARE YOU FEELING NOW?
    .
Finally in the 5th year, your bamboo that you have tended and cared for, without reward, shoots up and grows 30 metres in just 6 weeks.....
    .
How many of us can continue to nurture, tend, fertilise and feed our bamboo plant (ourselves) without the instant results that our culture today demands - nay, expects?
    .
Perseverance, resilience, faith, patience, growth and development are key skills to hone for a life where results do not necessarily show up overnight (whatever some may have you believe).
    .
Keep tending your bamboo - your time is coming
