Less is More - CRM Efficiency
I'm a great believer in “less is more”. I want to add something to a contact's business by reducing the complexity or find a synergy that builds up the businesses with less effort. Digital Marketeers say “the money is in the list” but the top ones take the time to clean those lists and make sure they have a quality list for their purpose.
I help business owners get into their business’s underlying operations and find their “how to improve” (it is different for everyone). In several cases for sales and marketing teams, that means clearing lots of old contacts out of their CRM database so they can align their list with their "why?" That may be hard to do. Fear of missing out can inhibit that change. Doing it will save time and effort serving people who will never buy from you. (It is also going to help your GDPR compliance.)
What's your why? Why would you wish to connect with a new name? Why do you want to keep them in your CRM? Be honest with yourself, ruthless in cleaning the data, and careful when adding new names.
