Off-site storage that’s paid for but rarely questioned.
Filing systems no one trusts enough to dispose of anything.
The result is familiar:
Documents are kept “just in case”.

Legacy files are retained long past their operational value.
And the cost isn’t just storage.
It’s the time spent searching.
The delays in responding.
The hesitation to change layouts, grow teams, or consolidate offices.
When information lives primarily on shelves, space becomes a constraint — not a resource.
Digitisation isn’t simply about going paperless.
It’s about reclaiming space, reducing friction, and turning static archives into something that can actually support the organisation that owns them.
