• 💙 Anti-Bullying Week 2025 | Power for Good

Bullying doesn’t always look like it did in the playground. In the workplace, it can be harder to spot. Repeated undermining, exclusion from conversations, dismissive behaviour, or the misuse of power and influence. However it shows up, the impact is the same: it erodes trust, confidence, and psychological safety.

That’s why having clear, trusted anti-bullying and discrimination policies, alongside robust grievance and whistleblowing processes, and a culture rooted in empathy and accountability, matters so deeply.

As parents, we teach our children to be kind, to understand the difference between right and wrong, and to use their voice for good. Yet sometimes, even as adults, we forget that lesson ourselves. We carry frustration from work or home, and it can spill out in ways we don’t intend; sharp words, impatience, or behaviour that chips away at someone’s confidence.

This week marks Anti-Bullying Week (10th–14th November) with the theme “Power for Good”, led by the Anti-Bullying Alliance. The message is simple but profound. Each of us has the power to make a positive difference.

Whether it’s in the classroom, the workplace, or at home, we can all choose to act with kindness, speak up for others, and create environments where everyone feels safe to be themselves.

This is something I’ll be speaking to my children because lasting change starts with conversations like these. 💙
👉 And for those leading teams, are your anti-bullying and discrimination policies, and grievance and whistleblowing processes up to date?
Do your team know where to find them?
