Responsible for all aspects of occupational health and safety management, training, strategy and implementation throughout Heathrow Airport and operational business units. Leadership and management of Heathrow Airports central health and safety team.

Principle accountabilities

• Develop and implement an 18 month health and safety strategy, improving Heathrow Airport health and safety culture and performance.
• Management and development of the central health and safety team.
• Work with the head of assurance and standards in the development and implementation of BAA’s integrated management system.
• Ensure all accidents, incidents and near misses are reported, investigated and lessons learnt are identified and communicated with BAA staff and relevant stakeholders / contractors.
• Produce monthly health and safety dashboard, score card and report and present to BAA executive at monthly governance meetings.
• Hold and attend regular health and safety forums with customers/stakeholders and contractors.
