8Ball had a large catalogue and strong search potential, but much of its visibility was trapped on pages two and three. The project focused on practical ecommerce SEO foundations: renaming and optimising image files across thousands of products, adding ALT text, improving H1 and H2 structures, correcting products that were sitting in the wrong categories, fixing missing Merchant Center attributes and tackling duplicate/indexation issues caused by product variants.
The impact was clear in Google Search Console. Average position improved from 23.10 in the first 30 days of the export to 10.52 in the latest 30 days, while CTR rose from 0.78% to 1.58%. Daily average ranking reached 9.6 on 4 June 2026 and 9.8 on 26 June 2026, showing that the site had moved into page-one territory.
The improvement was also visible at query level. 23 queries averaged position 1.5 or better with at least 50 impressions, and 322 queries averaged page-one positions with at least 500 impressions. Merchant listings were especially valuable, achieving a 5.23% CTR and 2.02 average position, making product-data quality and feed health a major growth lever for the next phase.
