SRA launches Family Law Research:

In the new Risk Outlook 2016 / 2017 the SRA advised that they would be conducting research into one of the key priority risk areas, namely service standards and, in particular, in relation to family law clients who are often vulnerable; paying particular attention to access to legal advice, quality of legal advice and cost of obtaining legal advice.

The SRA have now  confirmed that this research has now been commissioned and will be delivered by Ecorys UK by way of telephone surveys and focus groups with consumers and an online survey for firms that offer family legal services.  Once the surveys have been completed, selected individuals will be asked to participate in in-depth interviews and focus groups.  Any responses will be anonymised and findings will only be reported as totals.
