One of the main problems in the workplace is that leaders have become disconnected from those they lead. This is the main challenge in engagement and a huge issue in a knowledge economy. Deference is dead; respect has to be earned. How do you move away from a leadership style built around telling, controlling and 'being right' towards one where you listen, co-create and are open to not necessarily having all the answers?
