Your Website Traffic Needs To Convert

Your Website Traffic Needs To Convert

When you own a website it is easy to focus on getting traffic to your website after all, hundreds of visitors a day has to be good right? Well almost! Of course getting hundreds of people to visit your site per day is fantastic however it isn’t really the main thing you should be focussing on. Instead what you need to look at is what percentage of these people are actually interested in the products and/or services that you offer. You could be getting 1000 hits a day but if only 1% of these actually convert into sales then your website isn’t as effective as it could be! So rather than looking just how many people visit your site each day (although this can help) try to change your way of thinking and look at conversions instead. If you aren’t getting the high conversion rate that you would like or simply aren’t selling as many products as you first expected then you need to look at ways in which you can improve on this. One of the best ways to do this is to listen to what your visitors are saying. Can you survey them to ask what their opinions are or if there was something in particular that stopped them from buying from you? If there isn’t any easy way for you to implement this then why not use a service such as UserTesting.com who can get real consumers to look at your website and look at if they would buy from you and what feedback they would give if they wouldn’t buy from your website. This allows you to get real feedback on the areas you can work on to help you sell more products via your website. What is important is that you aren’t afraid to make changes. If you are new to SEO web design then it is unlikely you’ll get it right first time after all, practice makes perfect! You need to experiment with what works and what doesn’t to ensure you have the highest rate of sales conversion possible. If you have your web designed by a professional web design or SEO company then they usually have the experience under their belt to get things right first time. They may also be able to give you hints and tips on how to make your web design work for you when it comes to getting as many sales as possible online.
