Am I the right counsellor for you?

There is no one way of living, and we will all find ourselves faced with challenges along the way. Sometimes, the help of an outside source can enable us to view things in a different light or explore in more depth, which is where counselling can be beneficial.

I am a qualified and registered person-centred counsellor, working in an integrative way to suit individual need. I have a PG (Dip) qualification in Counselling & Psychotherapy, with extensive CPD in the various areas listed below. I am also currently working towards a Masters in Counselling & Psychotherapy. exploring the use of Expressive Arts for chronic pain. I regard my role as a Counsellor to be a privilege. Meeting people from all walks of life and being a part of their journey is pretty incredible!

I believe no two people are ever the same, so how can a counselling approach be? For that reason, my work is predominantly non-directive as I believe you are the expert of yourself, so the approach to therapy should be whatever feels right for you. Alongside my person-centred training I also have an extensive background in the arts, using expressive arts in my counselling work when appropriate, and I have also received training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).

I offer a free initial 15 minute telephone consultation, as I believe it is important for you to find a counsellor you feel comfortable with.

I believe the therapeutic relationship (the relationship between you and your therapist) to be vital, so always choose a counsellor who seems the right fit for you, and if that happens to be me then I look forward to hearing from you.
