Healthy work-life balance

A healthier work-life balance gives people the opportunity to spend time with their family and friends, have time for hobbies and enjoy life more.

Why should you care about that?

Employee wellbeing has a direct impact on the success of a business so there are benefits for employees and employers. The benefits include:

o   More energy and focus when they are at work.

o   Less chance of employee burnout

o   Lower sickness absence and reduced stress

o   Improved retention of staff – keep your good staff and save time and money recruiting replacement employees and training them up

o   Employee loyalty

o   Increased productivity

o   Better relationships between employees and management, as employees feel appreciated when management show they care about them as people.

o   Your company will become more attractive to work for as you are known as a company that cares for its employees, this is a good thing when you want to attract new talent to your company

Not sure what you could do to support your employees in achieving a health work life balance or what the cost and impact will be on your company?

There are lots of ways to improve work-life balance with minimal or no impact on the business and which could make your business run more effectively.
